YOUR PRIVACY

For proper treatment, it is necessary that I, as your treating therapist, create a file. This is also a legal obligation imposed by the Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO). The privacy regulations of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will be the standard for controlling your privacy from May 2018.

In addition to your name and address information, your file contains notes about your health status, diagnosis and information about the examinations and treatments performed. Your file may also include information that is necessary for your treatment and that, after your explicit permission, I have requested from another healthcare provider, such as your GP.

I do my best to guarantee your privacy. This means, among other things, that I handle your personal and medical data with care. I ensure that unauthorized persons do not have or cannot gain access to your data. As your treating therapist, I am the only one who has access to the data in your file. These are stored digitally secured. I have a legal obligation of confidentiality (professional secrecy).

The data from your file may be used for the following purposes:
– To inform other healthcare providers, for example when therapy has been completed or when a referral is made to another practitioner. This only happens with your explicit permission;
– For use during observation when I am absent, only with your permission;
– For use during peer review, I will only use anonymous data;
– A small part of the data from your file is used for financial administration, so that I can prepare an invoice (see below)

If I want to use your data for another reason, I will first inform you and explicitly ask for your permission.
