Acupuncture treatment

Every person is unique. A healthy lifestyle, nutrition and good treatment therefore varies from person to person.
Correct attunement to body and mind is of great importance for good treatment in Chinese medicine.
Each treatment is therefore very personally tailored. Acupuncture is part of the age-old Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
TCM works from the idea that physical and mental complaints are caused by disturbances in the body’s energy balance.
Consider hormonal complaints, allergies, pain and mental unrest. These disturbances can be caused by, among other things, incorrect nutrition, emotional or physical tensions, climatic factors or trauma. With acupuncture these energy disturbances are restored and the body is stimulated to heal itself, without side effects. So actually a reorganization of your energy.
By restoring balance and free flow of energy, complaints decrease and the body’s resistance is built up.

When to start acupuncture treatment?

My clients have often been looking for a solution to their complaints for a while.
Sometimes regular medication does not work or does not work sufficiently, there are side effects, or they do not want to take medication for a long time. Sometimes the complaints are already chronic and it is not clear where they come from, they are hormonally related or “there is not much that can be done about it”.
Then it is time to start looking at health differently, or in a Chinese way. You can also contribute to a healthier balance through sufficient exercise, healthy nutrition, timely rest and good communication. But your body may need some extra support.
|With acupuncture you support your own body strength and therefore recovery.

Acupuncture treatment in practice

During the first consultation I arrive at a diagnosis. For this we have a conversation, I feel your pulse and possibly your stomach and I look at your tongue. Then I insert the needles and you can lie down for 20 to 30 minutes. Additionally I can use moxa, guasha or cups.
The treatments last 45 minutes to 1 hour. After three to four treatments we monitor the effect and make a plan for any follow-up.
I practice Traditional Chinese Acupuncture in a refined version. This means Japanese influences with fewer and thinner needles and pure moxa. Treatments are therefore relaxing and effective.
We work together on your health through acupuncture, personal nutritional advice, exercises and possibly herbs or massage.

Acupuncture Specializations

I have been specially trained and studied gynecological complaints, such as menstruation, fertility, menopause, pregnancy complaints and support during childbirth.
I also work a lot with hay fever and allergies. I also love working with children and babies.
